Darksouls 3 Demon Princes Fight

Demon Princes

The Demon Princes are the first boss you fight in the Ringed City DLC of Darksouls three, all though by the community called the Demon Princes, The boss's fist stage consists of two bat like demons named Demon in Pain and Demon from Below, the second stage being one large bat like demon named The Demon Prince. But because of the first stage's two separate demon names everyone calls the boss "Demon Princes"

Boss Location and Summons

The boss isnt hard to find, it's right across from the Within Earthen Peak bonfire in the Dreg Heap. The boss is not optional, you need to kill it in order to get to the Ringed City, which is the main part of the DLC. As for NPC summons, if you talked to Lapp before doing the fight and exhausted his dialog, he'll be able to join you in the fight. Also Slave knight Gael will join you in the fight no matter what, and if you have a Dried Finger you can summon in a player as well.

Boss Fight

The Demon Princes is a fairly hard fight, and causes a lot of trouble with new players, since it starts with you fighting two bosses. Which is only appropriate considering the Darksouls two theme in the DLC, which multiple boss boss fights was Darksouls Two's favorite thing to do. The fight starts with the Demon in Pain and Demon from Below, they each do different attacks but will most of the time leave you alone with the other, the Demon in Pain will slash at you and spew poison, that in fact doesnt give you poison but hurts you. The Demon From Below will shoot fire and launch at you, take out one first t hen focus on the other, once one dies, the other will light on fire, go faster and do more damage.

Once both dead, their corpses will mold together, creating the Demon Prince. This is the hard part of the boss if you ask me, he will slash at you and such, dodge away from his attacks, not into them, since his attacks do kind of a curve motion through his body it'll still hit you if you try and dodge into them. A lot of the time he'll summon fire balls in the air that will shoot smaller ones at you, dodge those, it wont be hard, they are meant to scare you more than anything. What he'll do that deals a ton of damage to jump into the air then back, shooting a volley of fire balls your way.
