Darksouls 1 Where To Go

Firelink Shrine

Firelink shrine is your central hub in Darksouls, when you meet important npcs across the world they'll come here so you can buy/sell/talk to them whenever. Firelink is the first place you go after escaping The Undead Asylum. Now once you first go to firelink shrine there's two places you can go from here, and there will be many more places to go from Firelink once you open and gain shortcuts. But before you do anything we're going to want to explore the area.

The first NPC you'll meet the Crestfallen Knight. Don't attack him, he's way too strong for you right now so just let him be for the moment. Now next NPC you'll want to find is along the right side of the shrine, named Petrus of Thorolund. He's a larger npc that will allow you to join the Way of the White covenant, which makes it easier to find helpful summons and harder to be invaded. Once joining the Way of the White he'll sell you miracles, healing miracles and the such. He'll also sell you talismen but you can actually find one in firelink shrine without having to pay.

Now once you're done with Petrus head to the right, then straight till you find a part in the wall where it looks like two elevators should be (Later you'll find a shortcut where two elevator will appear here). Now if you drop down you'll be on a different part of the shrine, you'll find three chests, one you'll get a mace. The other you'll get a talisman. And the other you'll get 5 Cracked Red Eye Orbs, which you can use to invade other worlds later on in the game once you have your build properly set up for pvp.

How to Enter the Undead Burg

Now after Firelink shrine where you'll want to go is, from the main bonfire, go left. There'll be a staircase from the bonfire. From there'll you'll find a few hollows, most of them with swords or axes, but a few that will throw firebombs. Once you kill all of those you can continue up the stairs and onto the outside of a bridge, walking inside of the bridge , directly to the left you'll see a rat, kill that so it doesn't mess with you later, then head forward, and then ta da! you'll be in the Undead Burg, next time we'll go over where to go from here and how to kill the boss.
