Darksouls 3 High Lord Wolnir Boss

High Lord Wolnir

High Lord Wolnir

High Lord Wolnir is the boss in the Carthus Catacombs that you have to fight to get to Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. It is honestly one of the easier bosses in the game thought the problem with that is a lot of people don't know how the boss works when they first go in there because of it's different boss mechanics compared to the other boss fights you encounter in the game.

Location

Wolnir is actually not too far away from the Catacombs of Carthus bonfire. Though the place can honestly be like a maze so it's hard to find at times. From the bonfire you'll see a hallway with a staircase. Though to your right will be a ball of skeletons that rolls up and down the staircase. You'll want to run down the stairs before it rolls, then doge to the right once you get down. There will be a bunch of little rats down there and the skeleton ball will crush them all if you dodge at the right time. Now that you're down there if you face away from the stairs, turn left and you'll see a grave warden, be careful because he'll throw throwing knives at you with bleed damage. Dodge over to him and nail him, or attack him from range, whatever works for your build.

Once you killed the Grave Warden there will be a hallway to your right. Going down there you'll see a Grave Warden on the edge of a cliff, kick him or shoot him off. Then continuing down the path to your right you'll see a room with a bnunch of bones ont he floor, some of them will come back to life and attack you. But what you want to do now is run, there will be a rope bridge, once you get near the bridge all the bones on the floor will come to life and try to attack you, but once you get to the other side of the bridge attack the bridge and it'll break.

Boss Fight

Now the actual bossfight part isn't too hard. Once you get into the arena you just need to run to the middle and grab an item on the ground, once you do that he'll spawn. The first thing you'll notice is two glowing bracelets on his left arm and one on his right. Don't hit him, hit the bracelets, eventually they'll break, doing massive damage to him. He'll die once all three of them are broken, though during the right he'll try to smack you with arms and spawn skeletons to attack you, at the same time he'll also bring a glowing sword out of the ground to try and hit you with.
