Darksouls 3 Curse Rotted Greatwood

Curse Rotted Greatwood boss battle at the Undead Settlement

Curse Rotted Greatwood

Darksouls 3 does have a lot of optional bosses doesnt it? Goodness. Well the Curse Rotted Greatwood is the first optional boss in the game, all though the boss is needed to be killed to get the Transposing Kiln, which allows you to make boss weapons out of future boss souls.

Location

The Curse Rotted Greatwood is located in the Undead Settlement. First you have to go to the dilapidated Bridge bonfire, from there go down the path were you see a Giant with a cage on his back, once defeating him you'll want to keep running down the path, there will be a whole ton of workers there to stop you, but if you look to your right in the distance is a Giant with a bow shooting spear sized arrows, dodge those and he'll hit the workers, then go into the nearest building, there will be a worker and a red eyed worker there, then go up the stairs, although if you jump behind you once up the stairs you can find the Great Scythe weapon, otherwise just keep going forward, and eventually down the hallway you'll get to the boss room.

Boss Fight

The actual boss fight is kinda hard honestly, once going in there will be some workers that will attack ypu, and respawn through the first part of the fight, attack a few of those then the boss fight will start, the giant tree in the corner of the room. His main attacks will be dropping acid sacks on you or swipping with his arms, what you'll want to do is not attack him, but the sacks on him. First attack the ones on his arms and legs cause as soon as you take out the ones on his stomach Phase 2 will start.

Once Phase Two starts he will ground slam, and the ground will break. You and the boss will fall into another boss room under the first one, he will grow more sacks that you can hit, and a giant arm grows out of his stomach, be careful it will try and grab you at points. Once you get all the sacks out of the way he will have a sliver of health left, be careful and hit the arm a few times it will take away just as much health as you need and you'll be done with the fight.
